Vol. 1 No. 1 (2013): Industrial and Systems Engineering Review
On behalf of the rest of the editorial board, the reviewers, and the Society of Industrial and Systems Engineering (SISE), it gives me great pleasure to announce the launch of the inaugural issue of the journal entitled Industrial and Systems Engineering Review (ISER). ISER aims to publish original research manuscripts, review articles, case studies, as well as existing techniques as applied to new problem domains. In this first issue, we have eight (8) articles spanning the aforementioned areas. Herein, you will find articles in the following technical areas: supply chain management (SCM), ergonomics, routing, virtual reality applications in quality/FMEA, shop floor control, optimization, manufacturing simulation, and queuing. The application areas are quite varied and include the automotive industry, semiconductor industry, healthcare (multiple articles), hazardous materials, and others. Like we did, I hope you enjoy reading these articles and will consider submitting a manuscript to our journal in the near future.
